Every year on 22nd April, as many as 200 countries do what they can to highlight how important our earth is and what we can do to protect it.
Earth Day celebrates and promotes environmental issues all over the world that people need to be aware of and how they can help.
Since starting in 1970, Earth Day is celebrated every year. Supported by celebrities, big businesses, charities, and people like you, all over the world.
This day of awareness even has it’s own flag and songs!
This year, the organisers of Earth Day are aiming to promote education and knowledge surrounding our climate.
By teaching everyone, young and old, all over the world about the causes and effects of climate change, it becomes easier to know how you can help limit the damage.
